We handle Investigations Before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC)

Our patent attorneys have extensive patent litigation experience before various federal courts. We handle investigations before the ITC (under Section 337 Tariff Act (unfair import)). We offer cost-effective, expeditious representation in ITC investigations/cases to new clients. Our fees are typically only a fraction of the fees which can be expected from larger firms like Finnegan, Alston & Bird, Quinn Emanuel, and others; allowing our clients to litigate more freely and aggressively in these investigations and helping our client litigate cases to completion. The International Trade Commission (ITC) offers expedited, patent infringement adjudication to U.S. companies seeking to prevent the import of infringing goods into the U.S. from another country, typically in less than 16 months. The procedures are different from U.S. district courts, and cases are called “investigations” and must instituted by the ITC after filing a complaint.

Patent Litigation

Western IP Law is located on the West Coast with offices in California and Utah. Our main ITC litigator, Steven Rinehart, is licensed in Virginia only miles from the U.S. International Trade Commission. We handle patent litigation matters for clients nationwide in federal courts, often defending our clients in various IP infringement matters across the country. We are happy to help defend these cases against overly aggressive U.S. companies seeking to stifle competition.
